I want these photos to be timeless, so I suggest muted, neutral, solid tones for the family session. I usually shoot these against either a white, gray or black background. And sometimes a black and white photo is a nice touch. I feel that photos like these can be displayed throughout any style of home. And remember, these will be images that will last a lifetime and become heirlooms to future generations.
